About Matthew
Matthew Tuquero is Maui-born, design-obsessed, and a former mainland trade rep with deep experience navigating product availability, shipping logistics, and the fine print that complicates getting great design to the islands.
He left Maui in 2008 after graduating from Maui High School to study graphic design in Providence, RI. That path led him to the interior design industry—where he's been for 8 years—and back to Maui to help create beautiful, affordable spaces for his peers.
He created Tuquero & Co. as a trusted bridge between the design world and the Maui community. By leveraging his Bay Area location, he sources quality pre-owned and new furniture from showrooms, brands, and private sellers. Shared container shipping dramatically reduces freight costs, and professional renderings ensure accurate space planning before you buy. His goal: save you time, reduce costs, and get you the pieces you actually want—not just what's in stock locally.
